Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic, separated by the Northern Channel to its east, the Irish Sea and St George’s Channel. Ireland is the third largest island in Europe and the second largest island in the British Isles. Ireland is divided by The Republic of Ireland (known as Ireland) and Northern Ireland located in the northeast of the island and is a part of The United Kingdom. The climate in Ireland is free of dramatic temperature changes and is considered mild but changeable often referred to as an oceanic climate resulting in lush green vegetation giving Ireland the nickname of The Emerald Isle. Winters are very mild with summers being cooler than in Continental Europe. It is frequently cloudy, and rain is abundant throughout the year. If you are prepared, there really is no bad time to visit Ireland. Massive amounts of tourists during the months of July-August, for less tourists with relatively warm weather visit during May, June or September. If colder temperatures are not an issue for you, the rest of the year is fantastic as well, just note that some of the sites will be closed during the winter months.

Tim and I Took Our Honeymoon in Ireland
We planned the most romantic 14-day honeymoon in Ireland. We fell in-love with the people, their customs and history. Ireland is truly magical and filled with dramatic vistas and nature. We experienced so much on our trip. We traveled independently beginning in Cork and headed clockwise around the island ending back in Cork. We found the service the best we have ever had, the food and drink (of course) were incredible, and prices were very reasonable. We are anxious to go back and continue our love affair with The Emerald Isle!
